    • 2018 Nautique GS22

    #31
Having what sounds like this same issue with me 2018 GS22. I just bought it privately with 182 hours on it and took it out three times this weekend. Right on the trailer it didn't start. Thought I was doing something wrong with the sequence of pressing buttons because I had just reset my code.

However, after several minutes it started. Later in the day and over the weekend I would stop the motor, okay music for a bit and then try to start and it would crank. Play with the buttons, try to start, restart, etc and it wouldn't go. Then all of a sudden it would start. Could figure out a rhyme or reason.

However, I noticed that the little push button neutral does not light or do anything for me. I'm wondering if it's just loose wiring as this post suggested- https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/f...rank-sometimes

I'm fairly diy capable but when I go to try to take the forearm rest off, that baby is SECURE. I saw someone suggested some plastic trim tools. Is that the trick? I was able to release the lower portion of the trim partially. Is there a good order to remove the trim pieces? I haven't been able to go exploring too much as I'm back to work today. Wanting to go look more into this in the evening. Also does the throttle itself come off? I didn't get to removing the little black cap at the base where it pivots so I'm hoping after popping that off there will be a screw or something.

I really wish someone videos this repair.
