I'm having trouble starting my '94 ski nautique. I have to wiggle the throttle a bunch before it thinks it is in neutral. It seems to be getting worse. Any advice on how to tune it up?
Thanks,
B
Make sure your linkage is not out of whack. Disconnect the trans shift cable from the trans. It is a ball/socket connection. Just slip the spring latch back and pull the cable off. Move the selector lever on the trans both ways to find the neutral detent and try to crank it over. If it works, you need to have the shifter cables adjusted. Hope this helps.
Please do not PM me directly asking for advice on how to repair your boat. While I would love to help everyone, I simply do not have time to respond to all of the inquiries. Please post your questions on the forum, so that all of our members have a chance to answer.
