Pre season Window frame powdercoat?

With my boat back at my factory and with a few more weeks before a return to the water, i'm looking at the windshield on my 92 nautique and thinking it could do with a fresh finish.
But i'm wondering, do i strip it down and send the frame for powdercoating?
or,
Mask it up as it is on the boat and spray it with a 2pack paint?
The powder coating option seems easiest, but only if the window stripdown and re-assembly is straight forward.
If i'm going to struggle to reassemble it looking tidy, then i will paint it on the boat.
Anyone any ideas?

The windshield is not too difficult to remove and disassemble. Putting the glass back in with the powder on the frame can be a bit of a struggle, but certainly doable. I love the high gloss and durability of the powder.

Thanks for the advise TRBenj, its good to hear from someone whos done the work already.
Did you have to replace any of the rubber strips or did you re-use the original?
Your boat looks real smart and the photos confirm to me its a job worth doing.

I assume youre referring to the rubber strips that hide the screws? I reused mine, as they were just fine. I did replace the weather stripping underneath the windshield, though.

I have 97 Super Sport and would also love to paint window frame. Do you have to take off at bottom? Just the part at top got chipped, so do you remove the entire windshield?

Ok, so i've started to try to remove my windshield, but to be honest i've not got far.
I'm feeling a bit stupid because i can't see which screws i need to remove it, i've removed the two screws found on the side windows on the bottom back corner, and i've removed the four srews in the top inside corners of the frame, i'm being cautious because i don't want to wreck anything but nothing seems to want to budge.
Do i need to remove the top horizontal frame piece first, then remove whe windscreen, to reveal any screws in the bottom horizontal frame piece, screwing down into the deck? i've no idea.
Any suggestions from you guys pointing me in the right direction would be greatfully received.

You dont need to remove any of the screws you described in order to get the windshield off the boat. Im assuming you didnt remove the rubber strips in the windshield? That would have exposed all of the screws holding it to the deck.
