I was under the assumption that the lanyard interrupted the ignition circuit only but if this is incorrect then I'll consider myself corrected on this one. If the pumps are firing, then one can assume that the ECM is telling the fuel pump relays to fire so it must be powered up, right?

On my 06, the gauges are de-energized when the lanyard is pulled. The whole dash goes black but the dashpod. I would be very surprised that the ECM, fuel pump, etc are all powered with the lanyard pulled and the gauges dead.
