    2008 SANTE Transmission isse

I had a transmission go out while pulling a rider up under load. From my research and testing, I concluded that the damper plate broke. Took it to a dealer to get fixed. The dealer called after two weeks and said that after water testing, I needed a whole new transmission due to burnt oil. It wasn't burnt; I checked it before I took it to them. I asked if they checked the damper plate; was told no. I told them to check it. They called the next day to tell me it was broken. Ordered a new damper plate and installed it. Called me today to again say that I needed a new transmission and that the damper plate did not fix the issue. The transmission showed no signs of failing before this and worked fine until the damper plate broke. The service manager admitted they aren't transmission specialists and aren't sure what's going on. Does this make sense to anyone, or do I need to pick it up and take it somewhere else for repair?

Just an update. The dealer put in a damper plate for an 80 transmission, not a 40.

This is the Nautique dealer? If so that's a pretty poor experience. I've heard nothing but good things about the Nautique and MC dealer by me.
