    LINC software update help

I am trying to update my LINC software to support the updated ballast sensors. I ordered the sensor from nautique parts and they gave me a linc to the software update. i downloaded it and it seems like it is on the usb I downloaded it to. But the boat says there are no files on the usb.
    the file is a .pv1
i am completely windows illiterate, so I don't know what to do. can someone please help me....

    to follow up.

the file needs to be downloaded to a FAT32 formatted thumb drive. my original drive was formatted exFAT. I learned that in order to format FAT32, the drive needs to be less than 32gb. also learned the thumb drive needs to be 2.0, nothing higher.
i picked up a 16gb, 2.0, reloaded the software and went to the boat. the boat read the file and downloaded it no problem. that portion of LINC is updated and the new ballast sensors are selected.
however, the boat is saying there are other updates that need to be done (button pad, can 1 and can 2, stereo update). everything seems to be working though.
i will have the dealer do the other updates when the season ends
