I have a 2021 G23 where the steering wheel vibrates when I turn it on… doesn’t seem to matter if we are ballasted in surf mode or not. I wanted to try resetting / recalibrating the steering before replacing the steering cable. Does anyone have instructions on how to recalibrate? Thanks

1) Start with centering the wheel by counting the number of rotations from the end of travel port to end of travel stb (this should be approximately 4.2 rotations).
2) Divide the total rotations end travel to end of travel by 2 and turn the wheel this many rotations starting from the end of travel and stop. This is the steering center (should typically be 2.1 rotations).
3) Cycle ignition power 5 times with-in 3 seconds and stop on the 5th time with ignition power on (this requires two hands and you are just cycling back and forth from ACC to Ignition power on not starting the boat).
4) The wheel should start vibrating to indicate it has initiated the wheel calibration mode (do not touch the wheel during this time), wait until the wheel stops vibrating and then slowly rotate the wheel clockwise until you reach the end of travel and at the end of travel and apply a small amount of additional torque to the wheel.
5) Now rotate the wheel counterclockwise until it reaches the end of travel and apply a small amount of additional torque to the wheel.
6) Rotate clockwise again slightly faster to the end of travel and apply a small amount of additional torque to the wheel at end of travel.
7) Rotate counterclockwise to the end of travel and apply a small amount of additional torque to the wheel at end of travel.
8) This will complete the calibration process.
