Seat Heater stays on all the time

I have a new to me 2021 Ski Nautique with the heated spotter seat. The seat heats even when switched off. I suspect the physical on/off switch in the glove box is the culprit, but wanted to see if anyone else had experienced the same. I was kind of surprised that the driver seat heat turns on through the screen but that the spotter seat is the physical switch.
