Just piced up a 2021 G23 and we are having some wierd issues with the stereo and Linc Screen. Issue has occured 3 times in a row now and not sure what the fix is.
Issue occurs when at idle (6-700rmp) while filling or emptying ballast. There will be a "pop" or "click" then the stereo shuts down and is no longer detected. No lights or power to head unit either. Once this happens anything else running no longer works. Courtesy lights shut off, heater shuts down, ballast snesors loos their signal and the last time the ballast pumps stopped working. A manual push of the dran/fill button on the screen would produce a "click" noise and open the vavles on the thru hull but pumps would not spin...
Most times a simple battery cycle with the perko swotch got things working temporarily. Last time after the perko cycle the Linc screen did not power up, I had to diconnect batteries for 10min and reconnect them. Then the screen booted up and I could again turn on pumps to drain.
After the original issue i thought it might be low voltage since the batteries were original to the boat so I replaced them. I also verified that the connections were very tight at both batteries and the ground terminal in the battery tray under the observer seat near the glove box. There is also no visible corrosion at any of these locations. I did note that the reported voltage in the screen was 14.1-14.5V while surfing, and I believe at idle too but don't remember for sure.
We have had the boat out to just cruise up the lake or idle out to watch fireworks. No issues with lights, heater stereo running. Basically everything but the ballast pumps.
The dealer I bought the boat from, while helpful on the phone, is 6hrs away. Any help is apprciated. Ballast not draining and needing to get on a lift is not a fun place to be!
