2019 G23 impeller housing has a 1/8” hole at the bottom does anyone know what that is for? Mine drips pretty good when is under presure from the garden hose pressure and the engine off but when Istart the engine it barely drips. Does that sound correct?

It’s the drip hole it keep water out of the pump bearings when the water pump seals start to leak. It prolongs the life of the pump. Otherwise the bearings rust and fail much sooner. You’re over pressuring your cooling system with the hose and are in jeopardy of causing a premature raw water pump failure.
