Removing the brackets from the swim platform

The brackets on my swim platform have worn out. The holes on two of them have been worn away by wave action (boat is on a buoy 3 months a year).

I'm wondering how hard they are to remove?

Are they just held in by the screws or is there some 4200 between the brackets and the swim platform?

Boat's still in the water for a while so can't really test it yet.

Thanks for any tips from those of you who have done this before.

I took the swim platform off today and had a look. There is nothing at all between the brackets and the underside of the swim platform.

The screws are hard to get out and I think there is something on them (4200 maybe?) probably put in the holes before screwing the screws in.

My old brackets do not have as many holes as my new ones. The holes that are there do line up, which is good, but it looks like I can drill a few more holes and use a few more screws when I install these new ones.

Also, the philips head screws are not great to work with. I think I will get different hardware when I install the new ones. Cap head bolts or something.
