2005 SAN 226 with ZR6 - Loud Whine noise under power

Heard a loud distinct high pitched rhythmic whine, towards the serpentine belt side. Almost would cause a vibration also.
Prop and driveshaft look and feel perfect, transmission has been rebuilt last season, transmission oil looks good. Shaft packing replaced last season, Vdrive input shaft seal new. Oil pressure and engine temp normal levels all day.
water pump pulley?
bad spark plug? - although did not notice any loss of power

Take the accessory belt off and see if the noise goes away. You can only run it that way for about a minute. You don’t want to overheat the engine or exhaust system. Also better to do it with the engine cold.
