    • Just purchased a 1996 Ski Nautique with about 450 hours. Runs good, but chasing down a few things before I put it in the water.

New to forum and a couple questions

Thanks for letting me join your community. Hope I am posting in the right spot for a couple questions regarding my new to me 1986 Nautique with about 450 hours on it. Picked it up Friday and it is pretty good shape considering its age and I'm thrilled. Have not taken it out yet as I am going over the thing very carefully as to not need a tow in my 1st time out. Hoses look good, have trailer ran it and all seems well. Looking for some insight.

Easy one 1st- It only came with one key and the local Ace which has the latest and greatest key making deal had their computer say they did not have the particular key. Did a bunch of searching on the interwebs and found nothing definite on what the replacement is. Closest I could get was an app that identifies keys and it declared it a York Y11, a York y103 and a couple others that don't look like it. Both the 11 & 103 look like them but wanted to ask before I had to order the minimum 10 unit to see if there was good info here.

The second question is about the bilge. Was not working when I collected the boat in auto or manual, and the breaker button for the manual is broken. I've got two of the 2.5-3 amp headed my way, but I'm wondering if one broken of the two would cause both switches to go lame? Tried the auto on its own and even raising the float lever did not kick it on. Wondering if one would affect the other? It is likely not the original bilge pump from what I've read here and will prolly replace it either way. Looked over the wiring diagrams in the owner's binder, but I am not an electrical guy. Was too hot, I'd been at it for a while and had to get cleaned up to head out so I did not put my meter on anything.

    Thanks in advance,

    JB
