Started the boat up for the first time today and it fired right up. Ran for 5-6 minutes or so in the driveway and just before I turned it off, it shut off on its own. Tried to restart and got nothing. I am showing no fuel pressure.
I took apart the FCC and each time it take it apart the wires are off. I don’t know if they are coming off when I tighten it back on, or if they are coming off when I remove the canister. Horrible design, but if anyone has a way to keep the wires on, let me know. I have crimped them over and over. Also, if there is a way to tell which is the positive and which is the negative terminals please advise. I think the positive has a larger terminal but I won’t be offended if someone points out an easy fix.
I also noticed as I cranked the engine and checked pressure(showed none), then removed the fuel canister about 10 times to check the wires, the fuel canister was no longer filling with gas. Might this be a symptom of the low pressure fuel pump going out? Or, is there another location between the gas tank and the low pressure pump that might be the culprit?
