Leftover 2024 GS22 - Initial Maintenance Needed?

Perhaps I am being overly cautious but I am getting a leftover 2024 GS22. Hull ID indicates it was manufactured Feb 2024. It doesn't have the initial 25 hours for the break-in initial maintenance but the fluids and impeller have been in there for over a year. I was thinking an impeller change would make a lot of sense at a minimum. I know I change the impeller on my current nautique every year despite not hitting 50 hours. I asked the dealer and the sales guy advised they want the break in fluids to run through for the first 25 hours...this makes sense. I know an impeller change is a simple task and would take maybe 10 minutes so if I am concerned I can just do it for the peace of mind. However, I don't want to do something if there is a reason it shouldn't be done before the initial 25 hours are put on.

Curious if anyone on here has any knowledge or insight.

I don't see any reason to change the impeller--maybe if it had sat for 5 years, I'd worry about the rubber getting brittle, but it's basically a year old with < 25 hours on it. The thought wouldn't even cross my mind.

I agree. I wouldn't bother changing that impeller either. Not sure which Nautique you currently have, but if you can really change an impeller properly on a v-drive in under ten minutes, I'd like to talk to you about working for Silver Cove Marine.

Thanks guys for the quick response. Much appreciated. I guess I underestimated how long it really takes to change the impeller..not difficult but longer than ten minutes. Turns out my wife is right my projects always take longer than I say.
