guygaskell Most of the issue with the gauges is actually the 2 electrolytic capacitors outlined in the video. This will bring back the nav lights along with the needle operation. Since you're in there anyways you might as well replace the stepper motor. Replacing on the smaller gauges is relatively easy, on the larger ones not so much.

The ballast tanks are a totally separate system but I went down that path as well a while ago. Take a look at this post https://www.planetnautique.com/vb5/f...-in-2006-sv211

Let me know if you need any help. Doing SMT caps can be challenging if you have never done it.

TechBeer I don’t have enough posts to PM you. I have a 2003 Ski 206 with engine temp and volt gauge problems. My email is pallin199@hotmail.com hopefully we can communicate through that. I would really like to try and work with you before shipping things to New Zealand or buying the conversion kit. Thank you Josh

I have successfully repaired three guages after watching TechBeer's video in this thread. With that said, the fuel guage I had to purchase for a 2009 with the black face and blue lights will soon be available. I have located a used 2007 version to match what I originally had, and will just repair it when it fails. If anyone needs a fuel guage for a 2009, let me know.

TechBeer I have a 2006 SANTE220 with some gauges issues. 1. the fuel gauge shows more then full (but it is not, the fuel tank is half full), 2. My engine hours are stuck on 1096hrs. shown in the LED display, 3. My ballast gauges jump up and down when i fill or empty them. What could it be? I hope you can help/give me some advise. Thanks in advance.

Pauldutch I think you have multiple issues.
            1. The fuel gauge issue is likely just the gauge went bad. The only other possibility is the fuel sending unit (or wiring) but that is unlikely. If you want help repairing the gauge let me know.
            2. Assuming the LCD works and will cycle through the menus, the engine hour issue is most likely something in the ECU. I "think" the gateway stores a value and if it never gets updated it just keeps it there. Could also be wiring from the engine ECU to the gateway. That is probably where I would start.
            3. The ballast gauges are a totally separate system. That might be normal operation as the water sloshes around and bounces the float up and down. If they are stable and mostly correct when you are stationary and not operating the pumps then I feel like that is normal. Others may be able to comment on that.
