Anybody have problems with oil leaks on SAN's. I've got an'03 that continues to leak oil no matter what is done to it. It's been in the shop 3 times for this problem and 2 times for other problems. The main bearing seal has been replaced along with the oil pan gasket. Now the v-drive leaks oil (may have been the original problem in my opinion) The v-drive has been pulled and put back together but still is a problem. After sitting winterized for 2 1/2 months I looked at it today and the underside of the v-drive has oil on it again. I'm so bummed! I'm ready to give up. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

You sure it is coming from the vdrive? When you say main bearing seal, are you referring to the rear main seal between the engine and trans? Is it something as simple as the plug not being tight on the bottom of the vdrive? -
Sorry, I meant rear main seal. The plug on the bottom is tight, it seems like oil is coming from between the tranny and the v-drive. I'm taking it in again next week. Any other thoughts? This will be the fourth time in for the same problem.Comment
