Was wondering if anyone has tried an aftermarket Crank Position Sensor for the Excalibur 5.7L . The OEM in Canada cost $300 at my dealer. I have seen aftermarket from $22 and up . They look the same.

For engine parts, I buy them on Rockauto.
I dont know if it corresponds to your engine but by finding the GM reference you will quickly find what you need :

I've had good luck pulling the part in question and taking it to the parts counter at the local autoparts store.
Frequently there are mfg numbers on the part they can use to locate the automotive cross-reference and get it ordered or...if they have it...do a side by side comparison on the spot.
As you noted, much of the sensor gear is standard automotive stuff and it's much cheaper than buying from the dealer...just need to figure out what it is.2004 206 Air Nautique Limited - Black with Vapor Blue (family style)
