What sealant for tracking guide fin and rub rail?

What type of sealant should I get for sealing around my new tracking guide fin and rub rail? Is the 3M 5200 sealant used for both?

5200 would be fine. You could also use 4200 if you want an easier time removing it next time.

Some people use 5200 on the rub rail. Personally I use 4200 since it’s above the waterline.

It's recommended that anything you might want to remove in the future, to use 4200. 5200 seems to be intended for more of a permanent thing. Personally on the fins, I would use 5200.
