Doing the complete interior of my ski nautique with a kit from C and S. Looks outstanding so far to me. Down to my engine cover now and was wondering:
A.) If anyone has ever added any insulating material (boom mat or similar foil backed type material) to the underside of the cover? While I love the sound of that 5.8 GT-40 FI right behind me while driving - it would be nice not to have to yell over the noise when a passenger is in the observers seat. I do plan to add either some 1/2" or 1" foam under the new cover as I have done on all of the other pieces.
B.) How difficult is to to re-cover the engine cover? Have yet to disassemble but may this weekend - barring any last ski runs weather permitting (Central Alabama USA).
Doing this all myself and taking it to a pro is not an option.....Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions!
