Surfing mode disengaged and Linc screen went black in the middle of a ride

Sunday we were out surfing. I was driving the boat. Suddenly it felt like we rolled over another boat wake but the water was flat (no other boats around). I looked back and the wave had completely washed out, my surfer went down immediately because the wave disappeared. It was like we were going 10.9 mph with no NSS or NCSS or surf side selected. Then as I was turning the boat around I noticed the Linc screen go black. It was black for a couple seconds then restarted with the disclaimer page.
Went back to surf again after this happened and the boat worked like normal.
Looking back I can say that I have had the wake not form on a couple other occasions while I was surfing but I do not recall the Linc screen also resetting.
    Any thoughts?

Check your battery terminals. Possible momentary loss of electrical power.

So all the components to set up a wake are totally controlled by the linc's system and if it goes down you are done? That's pretty scary.

Wanted to follow up on this. We had the dealer re-load the latest version of the lync system and have not had that problem duplicate itself since. It was a quick easy fix while I waited.
