    Transmission

    I have an 08 SAN 210 we were out on the lake last weekend and we lost our reverse gear in it. Took it to the shop and they said would need a new transmission. Does anybody have a ballpark of what that might run?

      I have no idea and not to steal your post but I believe the transmission is getting ready to fail in by 2017 G23 . Grinding noise for a few seconds on 2 occasions last weekend then boat ran fine. Hence to say after the incident , I immediately called Sea Tow to become a member so when I need to call for a tow to the dealership. These modern machines are high maintenance.

          Did you check the fluids? FYI....SkiSafe will reimburse for towing, my policy reimburses up to $1,000

              I don't think it is low fuild but I will check. Yeah SkiSafe will reimburse for tow, but SeaTow is only $119.00 per year which is reasonable for piece of mind. They are more responsive if you are a member vs not a member
