Troubleshooting fuel gauge issues. When I bought the boat, the fuel gauge was stuck on full even with power off. Gauge was replaced with new one from NP. Worked fine for a couple of rides with the tank about 1/2 full. Then I completely filled tank, and after 4 hours of use, the gauge was still on Full. Different from last time however, when cutting power the gauge does go to zero. So since it's a new gauge, that leads me to believe it's a Fuel Sending Unit problem.
I think if I remove the big floor panel it will be under there on top of the fuel tank? Does this troubleshooting seem sound?
Thank you!

I don't mind replacing it, and I'm not striving for 100% accuracy, but something not working properly drives me nuts.
Anyway, it's showing about 3/4 tank which given how much fuel I could see, is probably about right. On the plus side, I now know how to do it! As an aside, what is the red handle down near the bottom of the hull?
