    Keypad permanently unlocked?

My new to me 220 needs no code to start the boat. The previous owner has never used a code and had the factory code written in the owners manual which seems to be missing. I’m assuming I can get the original code from a dealer but has anyone heard of permanently unlocking the ignition like this?

Yes. It is in the manual. You can set it this way.

Try calling Nautique corporate customer service number. They found my master code after providing them my HIN. Then you will be able to set your own personal codes. I keep my boat on a lift so I like using the codes so a junior boater doesn't accidentally start the boat out of water.

Thanks guys, glad to know something isn’t broken. It is convenient but I also have kids on the boat so it would be nice to disable the ignition when not at the helm. I’ll give Nautique a call.
