Recommended mods for a 2004 Super Air?

Finally became a SANTE owner and super stoked for this summer! Are there any "must do" modifications that you would recommend for this boat? Already thinking the racks might not be the best, ran into the need for gauge conversion (ugh). Family boat, more surfing than looking to launch out to the flats.

Need more info before we could really say. Does it have the stock stereo in it? If so, that would be my first task. Upgrade to something that supports Bluetooth. Probably new speakers and amps all around. Possibly plumbing in sacks from Wakemakers. Do you have a surf wedge already?

Did you buy this out of Arizona? If so, man that boat was for sale for a long time at a great price! Looked to be a pretty good deal. Congrats!

Bingo. Just towed that thing from Orlando to Houston. Super stoked, I owned a 94 for 17 yrs, it died last year in a big storage fire in Willis. Finally got around to replacing it / upgrading. Thanks for the advice!

So you want to surf that boat. It doesn't have surf tabs so you'll need a wedge or a "suck gate" to get the boat to crab. In addition, it'll almost for sure need additional ballast. There are lots of ways to go. Wakemakers makes kits that are pretty easy to install.

Thanks Charles. Just checked out their site and it couldn't have been simpler. Wish every site had that "enter your model here" and a list of compatible products pops up. It's surprising that more online businesses don't see that as a key component. Thanks again, that was a good one.

Best stereo improvement for little $ on that boat is building the proper enclosure for that sub. It will kill some of your limited storage but improve your bass 5x for just some MDF and your time... lots of posts about it on this site

Thank you! She will definitely be loud. My 94 (RIP) was JL'd a bit which included a 10W7, this one will be done right.

I never was overwhelmed by fumes in the boat, but it is nice piece of mind that we have a better set up now. The noise reduction is really nice.

why the need for a gauge conversion? otherwise, hard tanks out for sacks and all other ballast considerations (still have manual valves? etc ...). then stereo prolly ... congrats on boat

Some of the gauges are failing & likely have to replace the whole thing The kit is about $1K without installation. :/ will try the workaround method on the front page but would not be surprised if ended up with no choice but to change them, but we'll see. Thanks for the advice. The valves are manual but will certainly look into updating them also
