That's a heck of an idea Whitetail15, make it happen and post!
If you can imagine it, all things are possible.
I could of used a thruster, only 3 times today, would of used it 16 times just because I could.
It's on the next boat list, not another dime in my '16, I don't think I would recoup my cost as we are starting to see prices dropping on the used inventory.

anymore info or updates on this ez drive model for g23. I am getting ready to pull the trigger on one, has anyone every thought of foot controls instead of a rocker switch? You could steer, throttle, and activate the thruster at same time.

What is the reason for not having a bow thruster from the factory versus placing it at the rear of the boat?

My dock is on a river with moderate current. seems every time I dock my self it is very easy to get sideways pulling in. Wonder how a easy thruster would help?
It is a 2012 200 so not a large wake boat.

baldmike73 would you mind posting pic of the rocker switch location? I just put a deposit down on the same one and can not decide where i want the switch. thanks. I am also wondering how the angled nozzles vs standard ones are.Originally posted by baldmike73 View PostI just had one installed on my 2021 GS24 and it works great. No issues operating and the angled nozzles really help. I opted for the rocker style switch and mounted under the dash on the left side so I could control throttle with one hand and thruster with the other as well as keeping it out of sight. Attached is a pic of final install. I tried to upload a video of thruster in use at the marina but the file was too big.

Great posts, sorry to awake the sleeping dragon, but this thread needs to be revived, once again, and thanks.
I'm thinking current pricing, and install pricing has taken a dramatic increase with everything else.

i paid $5000 (vertical thruster, power flow nozzles, and rocker style switch) - install was $700 (got a group discount as I brought 3 installs to shop)
https://www.ezdrivethruster.com/prod...ical-thrusters - first thruster on top of the page - there is also a guide that says which application will work best with your boat - https://www.ezdrivethruster.com/brand-matrix/

What did they charge you for that thruster and what model is it? I have a guy quoting me $4200 but have to find someone local to install

Hey all
I am about to pull the trigger on an EZ Drive for our 2015 G25 and I was hoping to get some helpful hints and install photos of the rocker switch and how it ties into the wiring under the dash and what fuses are required? Also what is the best access point up or under in the dash?? The install of the control box and the actual thruster seem rather straight forward but I'm a bit more concerned about cockpit wiring. Any help would be great.

Has anyone had any experience with the EZ Drive on a new Nautique in the NH area (or other newer wakeboat). Has anyone had experience in the Sunapee/Winnipesaukee area? I've got a 2020 G23 and unfortunately mine didn't come with steering assist and I have a tight docking situation that could use the steering assist.
