Summerize/De-winterize question

Add one of these. it's an improvement to using a fake a lake. It may take a little more time to add but once you have it setup it works better. Should be cheaper too.

I would agree with plumbing in a hose connection on your inlet (add a shut-off valve as well while you're doing it). It'll likely end up much cheaper than a fake-a-lake, and you don't have to worry about the fake-a-lake coming off the intake. Mine is just a barbed tee with female threads on the tee. I keep a plug in it for normal operation, and just thread in a hose adapter when I need to run in the driveway. Using a plug keeps it a bit more low profile under the cover, and I don't worry about a valve ever getting bumped open on my intake.

Not sure if this is the right place to post my question. I just prepared my 196 from 1996 for the winter. I drained the entire block from all the water. My question is how do i fill up the block again with water or antifreeze in summer again? AS the intercooler pumps up the external water to cool the water in my block but where can i add the water in my block?

As long as everything is re-connected properly, all plugs are installed, and any valves for the water intake are open, you can just put it in the water and start it up. The system will fill on it's own. Always good to let it get up to temp at idle the first time you start it back up. And keep a close eye on it and shut it down if it starts to get too hot.
