Hopefully it does not come to this but want to be prepared just in case. Irma looks like she could be nasty. Has anyone done this? What will I need? Any other tips? Tank is 95% full. 60 gallons could go a long way. Thanks

There are fuel inlet check valves in the fill hoses that will likely prevent you from getting a hose from the fill to the tank. Your best bet would probably be to access the fill hose just below the valve or the fill connection at the top of the tank, and then insert your siphon hose.

I would suggest going in at the floor access and pulling the fuel level sender for the fuel gauge. That will give you an easy-to-access opening.Please do not PM me directly asking for advice on how to repair your boat. There are 5 bolts on the fuel lever sender or two hose clamps on the fill hose connections, just saying.

Either way will work. In my experience, removing a fuel filler hose from a tank where it has been connected for several years is not always easy, even after the clamps are off.Please do not PM me directly asking for advice on how to repair your boat. i use a shaker siphon and with a little twist it goes right past the check valve...wouldn't have to take anything off...if one uses same diameter hose. Not saying you would be able to use the shaker just saying you could get the hose easily past the check valve.

I would find the return line from the regulator disconnect either at the regulator or even the tank and jumper the pump. Use its own pump to pump the fuel out.
Or if it has two pumps use the lift pump and take off the hose between that and the high pressure pump.
Fill 5 gallons at a time.
My positive thoughts that you don't need any of this!
