Oil in Bilge

Our 2016 G23 with the XR7 motor leaked some oil into the bilge today. It seemed to be running fine and good oil pressure.

I am Not worried about the repair, as it is under warranty. We just have a really short season here and I want to get on the water

That's not good...

Could you find the source? Any chance the lines going to the filter are loose, or possibly the filter itself? That would be the easiest fix I suppose.

Any chance that it was recently serviced and maybe the filter got double gasketed?

Or the drain hose in the pan could be loose also.

The oil pressure sending unit on my 5.7 in previous boat cracked and dumped oil. It only leaked a little because I was lucky enough to have the engine hatch open when it broke and noticed it right away.

Yes what was defective with the filter, are they going to extend the warranty on the engine? This is just an example of why I run the top of the line oil and oil filters.
