Running down the lake towing kids on tube and all the sudden I feel a slight vibration. I put the boat in neutral come to a stop and start to roll back on the throttle and the vibration is from high idle and gets worse when rpm increases. I didn't hit anything I know what that feels like been there done that on my 247 Malibu. My boat is 14 G23 with 450 and upgraded shaft. We idled back to the boat ramp and the only thing I see is the cotter pin is gone. Everything else seems good.

I bet you barely nicked something and bent your prop. Nothing twisted around the shaft at the front end of prop like fishing line, correct?

Yep. Probably bonked a log and tweaked the tip of one blade on the prop. I bet if he pulls it out of the water and really looks close he can see it.Originally posted by Bevostein View Post

Just 4 or so threads above guys are talking about still having broke prop shaft issues. Triple check that so you don't loose a prop too

I would get a dye penetrant kit and inspect it. Sounds like the symptoms of a shaft issue.2018 SAN 230
