Perfect Pass Malfunction

I installed a new PerfectPass screen on my 2006 210 TE this weekend (the old one's screen no longer displayed).

After installation it worked fine for 30 minutes. Then all of a sudden the screen went blank and all buttons stopped working. The speed also dropped to 6 mph and locked there.

After inching back home, I replaced the screen with another new screen (they sent me 2 because the first had a hair in it???). This screen connected and worked perfectly fine for the rest of the weekend.

After talking with perfect pass they are trying to tell me the unit was fine and I must have another problem with my boat. Has anyone ever heard of this happening before?

I noticed a small square on the side of the connector that "may" be preventing the connector from fully seating into my gateway box. PerfectPass told me to cut it off and try again. They think I wasn't getting a solid connection.

I will update once I'm able to try this out.
