    strange idle

I have a 97 sn gt-40 just wondering at foward idle it pulsates a little bit. I just picked up the boat. It onle had 12hrs put on it last year. The dealership change wires, plugs, new rotor. fuel filter. It improves every time I take it out does it sound like dirty fuel lines? Once out of foward idle it runs like a champ. Put fuel injector cleaner in it per the request of the dealership. I think just keep running gas through it. Any ideas?

    RE: strange idle

Find a fuel system cleaner made by BG Products called 44K. Best on the market and if your problems are fuel related, one can will clear it up.

      RE: strange idle

Does the engine have a slight rattle or noise comming from the engine at low speed in gear? And does it go away if you just add a little more throttle(like 50 to 100 more rpm)? If it does than all you can do just run the motor because the problem is normal because it its commonly called planetary rattle due to fluxuations in powerpulses from the engine at low engine speeds, all engines do this at a certain resonance.
