    hull repair

    I bought an older ski natique a 1979 model. I love the boat had it for 2.5 years. the hull is cracked what looks like through the clear coat some on top mostly stress points lots on the bottom, looks like previous owner might have tried to paint it white. I would like to repair the hull as a winter project. I am looking for ideas and proceedures, please help :???:

      West Marine (www.westmarine.com) sells all of the supplies and has some good instructions. Depending on severity you may need a more comprehensive resource than their site or a forum post.

          Some of the early Nautiques have crazing due to to much resin in the molds. The cracks were cosmetic not structural. I would check to see if this is the case . If so you should be able to just re gelcoat.
