I had a dealer install a ballast system with Jabsco water puppy's. They worked great last summer. I couldn't get the center ballast pump to work. They had the same color wires for the negative and positive. I realized I hooked it up backwards andI blew the inline fuse. I replaced that. Now It will fill but not reverse to empty. I did see two relays wired to the pump. Could one of those be bad or would it be something else?

Did you change the inline wiring on the pump side or switch side? If you flipped the polarity on the pump, that shouldn't matter, pump would only run opposite to what it was wired, as the pumps are designed the flip polarity to run in forward or reverse.
Agreed on SurroundSound - it has to be at the switch side, if you are getting power to the pump in one direction, that removes the issue from the pump side. Check your wiring and if there is nothing loose check the power levels at both leads on the pump with a multimeter. Do it in both fill and drain. If you are getting less than 12v check for bad connections. Those ballas puppy's really draw a lot of amps and dont like anything less than 12v.

It could simply be the impeller. Open it up and see if it's even trying to go backwards. If it is, buy new impellers. In fact, if you're opening these up, have new impellers on hand. The upside-down angle of the pumps is not fun to do twice.
