starting a 92 SN without the Invertaflo muffler

My invertaflo blew up. I want to test the carb BEFORE i put the muffler back on. Does anyone see an issue with running a 92 Nautique with no pipes at all.

I am not talking about going anywhere, just trouble shooting in the driveway. I would guess I need to divert the water and exhaust somehow.

I would like to work the bugs out of my carb so it does not blow up the repair job.

    Thanks

Should be fine I would think. Going to be really wet and loud but I don't think it will damage anything. Open the center and rear drain plugs so that the water can drain out of the bilge and it should be fine. Did the invertaflo blow up because of a backfire?

No prob. A friend ran his with open exhausts with the motor sitting on a pallet after it was rebuilt. Ran fine, just irritated the neighbors a bit.
