I'm doing this on a V-drive and having a hard time. The center pully (flywheel?) sits probably 1/4" from the muffler and its not enough to pull the belt through. Common sense would tell you to loosen up the exhaust hose clamps, and wiggle the muffler or hoses to get that extra 1/4" to get the belt past, but its not happening. Nothing moves even a fraction. I've broke the seal on the 4" exhaust hoses and got some soapy water in there, but you just can't twist anything.
