PCM 343 overheating

I thought I had it fixed, but I still experience the overheat at prolonged idle...every so often. I took the raw water pump apart, inspected the impeller, then reassembled using a plumbers grease on the o-rings. It seemed to fix it, but the symptoms returned after a couple of outings. It definitely seems as if the problem is with air being sucked into the line, but I haven't been able to solve it completely. Mine only overheats at idle. Upon revving the engine the temp will drop below normal, then settle in. The "whirring" noise happens consistently, right before the temp gradually climbs.

At my 25 hr service the n3 guys noticed a slight overheat ... They warrantied an engine water circ pump. I never noticed it running too hot but it still doesn't!! Get it over to the dealership and have them take a peek if at all possible.

Thanks for the input Nautiques_NZ ! This lead us to the problem we had. Also a broken circulation pump.: Search at google for sup2013-01 that describes the point clearly

How you tried replacing the thermostat? Sounds like it might have some corrosion/dirt built up in it causing it to stick.
