Who on here fogs their engines for storage?

The GT-40 engine will still pump fuel when cranking, as long as the key is in the start position.
It will even start, and run with the lanyard disconnected, if the key is in the start position.

Just hook up a 6 dollar remote starter and you could crank all day long without putting any gas in the cylinders (not that you would want to.) Personally, I don't fog. I live in an area with extremely low humidity and I just don't believe that fogging is necessary with those climate conditions. I also run the engine once or twice a winter so fogging and complete dissassembly of the impeller pump dont make sense from that standpoint either.

I always rotate by hand so as not to squirt any fuel in the cylinders and wash away any spray, assuming using the key will do that??
With the plugs out it spins quite easily and really does not take any longer.

Scott, bettin that aint the first time you discovered "your doin it wrong", and prob won't be the last, LOL

I turn it by hand. I missed the part of orzech's post where he said "turn the key." Sorry for the confusion.
