    What the heck is this motorolla skn4490a device on my 97 ssn

    Under the dash behind kick panel. Guessing some old timy radio communication thing. Can i get rid of it

                      I bought it used. I know the red wire goes to the amp. Ive traced it out. And called motorolla. I think it was maybe some type of fancy cb radio. Not sure. There is sometype of antenna that comes up to the side of the widshield. I think i will remove it on sat. Didnt look stock by anymeans

                                  After 30+ min on phone with motorolla. All they said was some kind of communication device. Ijust wanted to double ceck before removing

                                                  I doubt its that tho. It has a wire coming off. And under the step to the bow. It gas a rj45 female plug.

                                                          That is the car part of an old Analog cellular phone. The cable on the left goes to the antenna. There is a plug next to it where the phone handset plugged in. I'm not even sure there are any analog towers left to get a signal from.
