I have a 2004 PCM Excalibur 330 with 181 hours. Just bought the boat and have no clue as to the history, but can tell it was not taken care of.
The engine just cut off one day and would not crank. I found that the distributor gear had worn down. I replaced it and she cranked right back up and runs fine now. This wear is known as cam walk and can be solved by a new timing chain cover and button.
Has anyone else had this problem and what was the outcome? I am shocked that it happened with so few hours and worry there may be a bigger underlying problem.
