Here is a link to my album which has pictures of my completed re-upholstery project using Christine's/Nautiqueskins, in case anyone is interested. If you see any weird color banding, that is due to the limitations on file size and the shrinking of the files.

The vinyl looks great,, it looks like a new boat. How many hours did it take you to finish?

Good question. Because I had to learn how to do this as I went, and because I'm pretty much a perfectionist, I had to re-do a few pieces. I'd say it took me well in excess of 100 hours.

If you decide to go this route and do it yourself, be sure you get a pneumatic stapler that can handle staplers bigger than narrow crown. I had a lot of problems with narrow crown staples going into the few fiberglass pieces. As a result, I had my dealer do the bow backrest and motorbox cover, and he used much bigger staples, which worked great. That said, there are plenty of pieces where narrow crown staples are fine or even preferred. Ideally, one would use both sizes as fit the situation.

Your never going to want to sell your boat are you. If you don't mind saying how much you spent going through Nautiqueskins i'd like to know. I"m planning on doing some of my upholstery this winter and our boats are almost the same. I'm looking into going with Copycat Covers but i'd like to compare prices!

In the Spring, I considered selling mine (when the vinyl was almost done) and picking up a Super Sport. I started looking at Super Sports, but could not find a mint one at the time. Since mine is now almost in new condition (still have a little gelcoat buffing to do), I could not bare to part with it, and took it off the market. Sometimes I wish I had the extra storage and seating arrangement of the v-drives, but the performance of my boat is just about perfect for me (still working on getting a bigger and cleaner surf wake a little farther back).
