Hello all, been a while since my last post. I have a 2008 210 with I think the FCT II tower. The one with the thick tubing. It has a fairly bad shaking/swaying problem when in rough water or going over another boat wake. Does anyone know if this is a problem that is just inherent to that tower or do I have some other problem going on? Anyone know any solutions for this? Thanks.

Try this,
I have a 2006 with the same tower, the base plates have a large thread nut underneath up inside the coving behind the interior. Mine worked loose approx a 1/4 turn on each maybe a little more.
Use some thread lock on the threaded ends and tighten them up real tight, that should solve 90% of your shaking, particularly the front mounts. Also check the main black screw in tower nuts are tight.

I have the same problem on my 08 SAN 220. I will check the bolts to make sure they are tight. One side seems to rattle worse than the other side.Comment

Usually its the passenger side that seems to slacken off more?? Get stuck in there with big old wrench and tighten up.Comment

I had the same problem and the nut was loose. I grabbed a wrench and tightened it up.....Hopefully the shake is gone!Comment
