I have a '98 Super Sport w/ a GT-40 in it. After being winterized and stored in a heated garage over the winter, we decided to pull the boat out and go for an early season ride. Upon launching the boat however, the boat does not go into gear. While I can advance the throttle in neutral, the throttle does not advance when out of neutral into forward or reverse. I am not certain what I should be looking at to determine what is/ is not broken or at issue. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Took another look at the boat and then had the local Nautique dealer take a look- bottom line, the transmission cable needs to be replaced. Hoping to have it replaced within the next week or so and will be good to go. THanks again for your help and input.Originally posted by steve-o View PostPull the back seat and look to see if the cable is engaging when you move the throttle forward. There is a disengage track on the throttle that might be off.
