    Extended Pylon question.

We just recently purchased a 2002 SN 196 and it came with a one piece "Ten foot pole" extended pylon. It did not however come with a bow strap or any rigging to attach it to the front of the boat. Does anyone know where I could purchase the bow strap and rigging for this extended pylon?

    Thank you

I would think you would have to go direct to the manufacturer and I am only familiar with two - Skylon and Barefoot/Fly High. If it is Fly High I put the WEB site below.

Also - 10 feet sounds too high - normally they put the rope attach point 6 - 6.5 feet above the deck. If it is really 10 feet, I would be very careful - that is a lot of leverage being created against your ski pylon.

On my extended pylon, the forward cables attached to the side cleats (vs the front strap), would be easy to make from parts at Lowes or Home Depot.

      Skylon Parts

I had a Skylon pole without a harness. I called them and they sold me everything i needed for around $75.00 That was 5 years ago though so it may be more. Do not make one yourself. They are engineered for the stresses put on the pole. I would hate to make one have it break and hurt someone. Call the original manufacturer and get a new set from them.

The brand is ten foot pole. Its about 6 ft tall. In the little research I did looks like they arn't made anymore but it look very similar to the fly high and skylon.
