I just installed additional auto ballast to my 99 Air and had a quick question. First of all, the factory system seems to be working just fine. All valves, gauges, and pumps seem to be working and the tanks drain and fill with no problems at this time. For the added system, I plumbed in a locker sac and also a trunk sac that sits on top of the carpeted material covering the hardtanks. Both of the added sacs run off of one ballast puppy TEED to the fresh intake. This system has been tested and is working well also. The fill and drain times are not the best in the world, but it suits my needs just fine. My question....Why do a lot of folks remove the factory hardtanks? It is an added sac on top a strain on them? Can the carpeted material on top be reinforced with supports?
Thanks so much for any insight.
