How do I remove rear seat backrest on 2004 196?

I have a 2004 SN 196LE. The rear seat has some mildew along the bottom edge of the backrest where it buts against the seat cushion. I have removed the seat cushion (easy to do), but am still having difficulty removing the mildew. I'd like to remove the seat backrest, but can not figure out how to do so. On my old 1997 SN, this cushion would lift right out. I have tried to do the same on this boat without any luck. Any ideas?

Open the rear locker. Pull out the carpeted pieces on the side facing the backrest. Then look under the lip. There are 4 or 6 nuts/large washers holding the backrest. The 2 on the corners are the toughest to reach. If you can't reach them from the back, you can remove the cup holders and reach up from those spots.

The nuts Dave is refering to are 7/16". I just removed mine, so it's fresh in my head.

Thanks guys. Sounds like a reasonable project for a sunny weekend - assuming I ever see one again!

            success

I removed the seat cushion this weekend. There are actually three rather large threaded knobs that secure the seat. The seat cushion has three threaded bolts that insert into the boat/fiberglass. The knobs are accessed throught the trunk and screws off by hand. Designed pretty well for easy removal.
