I recently tightened 3 of the 4 nuts on the rudder (the 4th I couldn't reach with the rear ballast tank in the way) and apparently knocked a fitting loose.
I noticed an aluminum hose that comes from the boat belly, runs parallel with the steering rod and now has no attachment and leaks water when I turn on the ballast pumps.
I cant feel any attachment under the rear ballast where it looks like it should terminate so I'm wondering where its attachment point is.
Any thoughts on what it is, where it goes, and the best way to reattach it?
If I have to remove the rear ballast tank, how do you recommend I do that? There are 2 hose attachments under the tank that seem very difficult to loosen....any thoughts would eb greatly appreciated......thanks
