    Driver Seat removal

Need help removing the backrest on my 2000 sport/air. Can't figure out if it just pulls out or if there is somethig that needs to be released.

Hlymons , On my 99 SNOB I was able to lift off the base of the driver seat cushion with a strong steady pull. Once off you can access the bolts to totally remove the seat and access the sliding mechanism etc. My seat was not sliding correctly, and by doing this was able to get it fixed. Good luck.

      THanks Gopher,
I have the seat removed however I was wondering how to remove small back rest. I can pull it away about 2 inches and then it seems like it's bolted on some how.

I'm not absolutely positive based on your posts, but is it the insert in the back of the seat that you are trying to remove? Have you tried sliding it up, similar to how you would remove the rear seat back? Based on the design of the seat, I doubt it is bolted.
