Can anyone tell me the difference between the Optima BlueTop

Battery? I see the 34M is about 10-20 bucks cheaper than the D34M. Then they have a much more expensive one called the 9052-161 12 V Deep Cycle for almost a $100 more.

Just wondering about the differences. If not this season, than probably spring season, going to drop two/three of these in my boat to keep my boat/system happy.

    Thanks!

The difference is the drain rate of the battery - The 34m and d34m have a rate around 50 amp/hours (not much/if any better than what you already have. The deep cycle is 105 Ah (lasts a lot longer).
Check out the Odyssey PC2250 or if really serious you need to go with Four Trojan T-145 6v batteries.

I believe the D stands for either "dual" purpose or "deep" cell in that is is both a starting battery and a deep cycle, which would explain the drain rate. Nobody needs 3 starting batteries, so keep up the research.
