Battery Size/Type for 1998 Ski Nautique 176

Does anyone know what type and where to get a battery to fit the infloor battery box in a SN 176?
The length an width are not much of an issue. The height must be less than 7 3/4 inches or the cover will not fit on.
Is an automotive battery OK or must it be a marine battery?
